Honeymoon - Uganda/Tanzania/Zanzibar
Day1: Airport meeting with our staff who will welcome you to the "Pearl of Africa". Transfer to Kampala City. (*For those arriving earlier, an afternoon excursion can be planned to the famous tombs of the Kabaka kings, Uganda museum, Bahai temple and Namugongo Martyrs shrine where 22 Christian convicts were killed under Kabaka(King of Buganda)-Mwanga in 1886.Meals and overnight at Emin Pasha Hotel or Serena Kampala Hotel.
Day 2: You are picked from the Hotel. Begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for a picnic lunch at the spectacularly situated site at the top of the Falls where you can see the Nile's beauty perfected! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from up to 1 km squeeze through a 7 meter canyon dropping 150 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray and the best thing that happened to the Nile." The Murchison Falls". Enjoy the sunset as you return to the lodge. Enjoy the superb comfort and service of Paraa Safari Lodge. (FB)
Day 3: Drive to the northern Bank of the park Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. After lunch, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of metres from the "Devil's Cauldron". En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17 km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob crocodile .This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.(FB)
Day 5 : All day drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Lunch is made enroute. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon Meals and overnight at Ndali Lodge, a stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled "Mountains of the Moon"
Day 6: Half day search of chimpanzee and 10 other primate including phoestes, red colobus, blues, red tailed and grey cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters. Carry packed lunch; proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Ruwenzori Mt. Range . Enjoy the unique 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward . This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge perched right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Ugandan Great Lakes (FB)
Day 7: Dawn game drives today. Queen Elizabeth National Park 's diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kolb, Topi and bush buck. After game drive, Visit -Maramagambo forest and the " Blue Lake -All should come along with torches, drive to Ishasha sector for lunch and game drive to spot the rare tree climbing lions and other game. Thereafter, drive to Bwindi. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds. The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park. Dinner and over night Gorilla Forest Camp (FB)
Day 8: Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort. Drive to Kigezi highlands via Kabale town where you will be taken to one of Africa's most beautiful landscape of Lake Bunyonyi popular referred by many tourists the Switzerland of Africa. Enjoy dinner at Ha'buharo Lodge with an evening camp fire and cultural dance by the local people.
Day 9: The day begins with a 1 hr boat ride inside the islands surrounded d by terraced landscape and breakfast. Feel the wonders of nature as you will see big terraced hills, big valleys, big everything including people and forests! Drive to Mbarara for lunch and later return to Kampala. A stop over for photography is a must at equator crossing! and transfer to Entebbe for an evening flight to Mwanza to KIA/Arusha, pick you up and you'll be transferred to Gibb's Farm, leisure time, Dinner and Overnight.
Day 10: After breakfast at Gibb's Lodge, walking at Gibb's farm forest, water falls for the whole day, overnight.
Day 11: Take your breakfast in the Gibb's farm Lodge, thereafter, drive to Lake Manyara national park for game drive, This Park is famous for its Tree climbing Lions, a good number of Primates, especially Baboons, Vervet and Sykes (Blue) Monkeys, a great Chance to visit Majimoto (Hot Water Springs),
Observe variety of water birds along the Shallow lake Manyara. P.M drive to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge for Leisure time, Dinner and Overnight.
Day 12: Descend to the Crater and make game viewing there. In this bowl like Intact Caldera is where Black Rhinos made their home. The Crater is also home of, Black mane Lions, Cheetahs, Leopard, Foxes and Jackals, Hyenas, and a good number of Herbivores like Buffaloes, Wildebeest, Zebras,
Gazelles Eland, and Elephant Bulls. Ascend and drive to Ndutu Lodge for leisure time, Dinner and Overnight.
Day 13: Early breakfast in Ndutu Lodge, thereafter, game viewing continues searching for the migration of hundreds of thousands of millions of wildebeest, Zebra, Gazelles, Topi, Heartbeest, will be wondering in the southern Serengeti short grass plains. Afternoon proceed to the Airstrip for Charter
flight to KIA, from KIA connection to Zanzibar . Overnight Hurumzi Hotel Previously known as Emerson's Green Hotel.(One night)
Day 14: Spend these days in Matemwe Bungalows ( Six nights). Relax and have Beach Leisure. Diner and Overnight at Matemwe Bungalows.
Day 15: Full day in Matemwe Bungalows
Day 16: Full day in Matemwe Bungalows
Day 17: Full day in Matemwe Bungalows
Day 18 : Full day in Matemwe Bungalows
Day 19 : Full day in Matemwe Bungalows
Day 20 Transferred to ZNZ Airport to fly to Dar es Salaam to connect an
international airline back to Europe . End of services.
